Champion Hurdle

The Champion Hurdle is a Grade 1 National Hunt hurdle race which is open to horses aged four years and above. The race is run on the Old Course at Cheltenham and the runners have to jump eight hurdles.

The Champion Hurdle is often run at a fast pace, so it is important that when betting on the race you select a horse which is proven to be able to win in fast paced races.

Willie Mullins has dominated the Champion Hurdle in recent years with both Faugheen and Annie Power winning the race. At the moment it is unclear if either will run this year, however if one of them does run it is likely the Champion Hurdle will have a short priced favourite.
