Green light for Enable
Enable will continue to race next year. The wonder mare has been given the green light to have another go at a third Arc win.
Her programme has yet to be announced but it could be similar to this year where she took in the Eclipse and that epic King George.
Pinatubo won the Dewhurst. It was expected, but some may be disappointed that he ONLY won by two lengths from Coventry Stakes winner Arizona. The ground was not the easiest for him either in my view.
But he is surely the champion juvenile of 2019.
We already have lots to look forward to next year.
ITV dropped the ball last weekend. Due to a “technical fault” the ITV 7 competition started on Friday with a French harness race.
Like many of you, I do not even look at the competition until Saturday morning so there was some annoyed racing fans last week especially with the Dewhurst and Cesarewitch on the card.
What we do need to remember is that the competition is free so ITV are under no obligation to even run it. But it was a bit of a PR nightmare and of course Twitter was full of it.
What I don’t understand is why did those in charge not do a mini competition on the day with the final six races for maybe £10,000 or something similar.
Hopefully all will be well for one of the biggest days of the flat season
Good Luck All
