RSA Chase

The RSA Chase is a Grade 1 National Hunt chase, which can be entered by horses aged 5 years old and over. The race is run on the Old Course at Cheltenham, and runners have to jump 19 fences. The race is for novice chasers and is the second race on Ladies Day.

The RSA Chase is often seen as an ideal opportunity for staying chasers who will appear in races such as the Gold Cup, King George and Hennessy Gold Cup in the years to come. Willie Mullins has 4 previous winners in this race so it is always wise to watch out for his runners.

Don Poli won the RSA Chase in 2015, and in doing so he was the only winning favourite in the race since 2009 so this can often be a tough race to call.
